The short version
We collect what we need to run a learning platform: your name, email, password, what you buy, and how far you get in a course. We do not sell it. We do not run advertising. We share it only with the services that make the platform work, and with your team’s administrator if they bought your seat.
What we collect
- Account details. Name, email address, and a hashed password. If you apply to teach, the professional details you give us in the application.
- Purchases. What you bought, when, and for how much. Card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor, and never touch our servers.
- Learning activity. Which lessons you have opened and completed, so your progress is saved and your team administrator can see that assigned seats are being used.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for security and debugging. Our video host, Mux, collects playback quality metrics so video keeps working.
How we use it
- To give you access to what you bought and save your progress.
- To send transactional email: receipts, seat invitations, password resets.
- To let a team buyer see which of their seats are assigned and in use.
- To pay instructors their share of course revenue.
- To keep the platform secure and fix problems.
We will not send you marketing email unless you ask for it, and every marketing message will have an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
- Stripe processes payments and instructor payouts.
- Mux hosts and streams course video.
- Resend delivers our email.
- Vercel and Neon host the platform and its database.
- Your team administrator, if your seat was bought as part of a team license, can see your name, email, and whether you have claimed and progressed through the course.
- Instructors see aggregate enrollment and revenue figures for their courses, not individual learner details.
